Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria, claims that the Peoples Democratic Party has learned from its past mistakes and is assiduously working to regain its former glory.

While in Gombe for a wedding ceremony, Atiku briefly opened a campaign office with the goal of achieving his 2023 goal of becoming the most eminent citizen.

Jamilu Ishaku, the first runner-up in the 2023 PDP gubernatorial election, donated the space, as well as ten space wagon campaign vehicles.

Abubakar described the PDP’s chances as high due to the party’s impeccable record, admitted that the PDP had lost in 2015 as a result of what he called mistakes and had learnt from it the hard way.

In light of the growing internal strife in the main opposition party, Abubakar commented on the party’s chances in the 2023 election. “I’m still talking to aggrieved members of the party and I believe at the end of the day we will work together,” he added.
