On Wednesday, Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom called on Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to apologize for his outburst against him and the people of the state.
The governor also warned Atiku not to believe that Fulani alone could propel him to the presidency.
Ortom mentioned this to youths from the Jemgbagh axis who were protesting in solidarity with him.
During an interactive forum organized by the Arewa Consultative Forum in Kaduna recently, Atiku accused Ortom of stereotyping Fulani and said that the governor informed him that his people used to rustle cows, which enraged the governor.
Ortom refuted the accusation that he profiled Fulani herdsmen and said that his people stole cows from his farm.
