OSUN STATE: Oyetola Takes A Bow, As Ademola Adeleke Swears In As Governor

Senator Ademola Adeleke has been sworn-in as the new Governor of Osun State on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the Osogbo city Stadium.

The PDP chieftain takes over the office from Gboyega Oyetola, APC-led administration after emerging victory during the July 16 governorship election.

Adeleke became the governor after being administered oaths of allegiance and office by the State’s President of the Customary Court before a mammoth crowd of PDP members, supporters and guests from all walks of life,

The Governorship candidate of PDP in Lagos State opined that Sen. Adeleke’ administration will herald a new dawn in the state of Osun with the people-oriented agenda and his servant leadership style.

In his inaugural speech, Adeleke said under his watch as the Governor of Osun State, he would correct all past injustice, corrupt acts or policies by any previous administration which are against the collective interest of the people.

“Let me state here that from the education, health, mining sector, agriculture, road infrastructure and supply of potable water, let it be known to all that it is no longer going to be business as usual. And I repeat, it is no longer business as usual,” he said.

Those who attended the inauguration include Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the PDP; Iyorchia Ayu, PDP national chairman; Bukola Saraki, former senate president; former governors, and party chieftains.

The occasion was also graced by traditional rulers led by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Oragun of Ila, Wahab Oyedotun.
