On Tuesday, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State, reported the arrest of two vandals accused of smuggling Petrol to Benin Republic.
During the arrest, the command also revealed that it retrieved 24,500 litres of fuel from the suspects’ base.
The command was informed about the vandals’ activity on the high seas prior to the arrest.
On Tuesday, the Commandant of the Corps, Eweka Okoro, paraded the two suspects, Olorunwa Sunday and Friday Bolaji, together with the exhibits, at the Ijora Jetty in Lagos.
He stated that after the investigations were completed, the individuals will be prosecuted and brought to court to face the law.
