NSCDC: Commiserates With Family Of Lead Outrider

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has mourned the death of Assistant Superintendent of Corps 1, Dickson Dike, the Commandant General’s lead outrider.

Recall it was reported that Dickson while attempting a stunt near a major intersection before the CG’s official residence, lost control of his bike, resulting in a deadly  crash on the culvert, wherein he suffered severe head injuries, that claimed his life.

According to a statement signed by Corps Spokesperson Olusola Odumosu on Friday, the unfortunate incident occurred on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Asokoro Abuja.

During a condolence visit to the outrider’s family, the CG, Ahmed Audi, described Dickson as a very intelligent, dedicated, hardworking, loyal, and committed officer.

Audi added that Dickson’s death was a devastating blow to the entire NSCDC family, but he is comforted by the fact that his good nature and humble personality will ensure him a place in the Lord’s blossom.

During the visit, he consoled the deceased’s wife, children, and siblings and prayed for the repose of his soul as well as God’s guidance and protection for those he left behind.

The President of the Civil Defence Officer’s Wives Association, Aishat Audi, who accompanied her husband, consoled the deceased’s widow and assured her of the association’s support.

Asc 1 Dickson Dike was born on October 23, 1989, in Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State, and is survived by his wife and two children.
