After a court acquitted Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), of all remaining charges, the Nigerian government stated it will consider other legal options.
Nigeria’s justice minister and attorney-general, Abubakar Malami, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Umar Jibrilu Gwandu, said, “The Federal Government will consider all available options open to us on the judgment on rendition while pursuing determination of pre-rendition issues.”
“It should be made plain to the general public that other concerns that precede rendition and on which Kanu jumped bail remain legitimate for court judgment.” He added
