Following Victor Osimhen’s absence in Napoli’s 4-1 away win over Cremonese, coach Luciano Spalletti stated that he was dropped to allow him to fully heal from his hamstring injury.
Osimhen has been out since September 7, when he was injured during Napoli’s UEFA Champions League (UCL) encounter against Liverpool on Day One, and he has missed Napoli’s previous five Serie A matches.
Osimhen was expected to play against Cremonese yesterday, but Spalletti did not include the Super Eagles striker on his squad, due to his predicament.
