A lady has revealed bundles of N200 naira notes printed about 20 years ago and never in circulation that were recently given to her husband ahead of the impending naira redesign.
She displayed the freshly minted naira notes while carefully highlighting the date of manufacture and the serial number that followed. She was taken aback by the fact that the money had never been in circulation since its creation date.
This revelation has stirred mixed feelings amongst Nigerians, especially in the aspect of currency security, as many have queried the motive behind the naira redesign.
