The Labour Party presidential campaign council has expressed immense gratitude to the Governor and people of Oyo State,  following a successful campaign outing yesterday, Wednesday November 23.

The rally which was tagged the mother of all rallies, was characterized by a mammoth crowd of Obidients who turned up in support of H.E Peter Obi.

Meanwhile, Dr Yunusa Tanko, presidential campaign council spokesman, via the party’s Twitter page has debunked the rumour making rounds in the media regarding a foiled attempt to launch an attack on the presidential candidate.

Recall yesterday, unconfirmed sources reported that a young man was caught in possession of a dagger, along the dedicated corridor for the presidential candidate. It was speculated that the probable intent of the suspect was premeditated and he was out to do a hatchet man’s job.

However, the Labour Party PCC maintained that the rally was peaceful and void of any threat.
