Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike praised Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate, for his work as governor of Anambra State on Thursday.
Peter Obi and his running companion, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, are currently in Rivers State to dedicate the Ikoku flyover.
Governor Wike spoke at the gathering and chastised the current governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo, for his recent verbal assaults on the Labour Party candidate.
Recall that Soludo set the internet into a frenzy on Monday after publishing a lengthy article dismissing Obi’s presidential ambitions.
Wike, addressing on the issue on Thursday, advised Obi to ignore such assaults, emphasising that Nigerians dislike truthful leaders.
The governor, who stated that some of the assaults against Obi were motivated by jealousy, urged people who were criticising the LP presidential candidate to face their responsibilities.
