A clash between touts and traders at Alaba International Market in Lagos State has reportedly left at least one person dead and several others injured.

The clash, which began in the early hours of Wednesday, October 19, resulted in the closure of the market, because traders refused to open.

It’s still unclear exactly what caused the altercation, but reports claim that it all began when the traders in the early hours of the day protested the ‘illegal way’ the touts collects money from them when they are offloading their goods.
