On Sunday, a Chinese expatriate was allegedly ambushed and shot dead in an Ebonyi town.
Details of the attack were still vague at the time of reporting this article, however sources stated it occurred at a mining site in Iboko, in the state’s Izzi Local Government Area.
During the attack, the hoodlums reportedly disarmed police officers who were protecting the Chinese.
His body was reportedly deposited to a mortuary in Abakaliki, the state capital.
Chris Anyanwu, a police spokesperson, stated that he was unaware of the occurrence at the time of writing this report.
