INEC 2023: 93m Eligible To Vote Next Year – Mahmood Yakubu

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has estimated that 93,522,272 eligible voters would vote in the 2023 general election.

This comprises of 84,004,084 registered voters and 9,518,188 fresh registrations.

According to the commission, the physical register will be displayed in authorized locations between Saturday, November 12 and Friday, November 25, 2022.

According to INEC, at the completion of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR), 12,298,944 Nigerians completed the procedure, but 2,780,756, meaning 22.6 percent, were disqualified.

The INEC chairman stated that 23 registration officials who took part in the recently ended CVR were charged with wrongdoing.

INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu made the announcement during the commission’s quarterly meeting with political parties in Abuja.
