ABIA STATE: Gov. Ikpeazu Swears In Acting Chief Judge.

Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor of Abia State, has sworn in Justice Lilian Abai as Acting Chief Judge of the State and entrusted her with maintaining the cordial connection that exists between the government and the judiciary in the state.

The Acting Chief Judge was sworn in following the retirement of the former Chief Judge, Justice Onuoha Arisa Kalu Ogwe.

Speaking after the State Solicitor General, Lady Uzoamaka Ikonne, administered the oaths of office and allegiance to the Acting Chief Judge at Government House, Umuahia, Ikpeazu stated that his government will do all possible to assist the Acting Chief Judge in improving the Judiciary.

Ikpeazu, who congratulated Justice Lilian Abai on her appointment as Acting Chief Judge, showed confidence that she would perform well in her new role.
