The Lagos State Police Command has denied reports that Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has been arrested in connection with the death of singer Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.
Recall on Monday, October 31, the three-year-old drowned inside his family’s pool in Banana Island.
Several blogs and news outlets reported last week that Eniola, a friend of Davido’s, had been arrested in connection with the case.
It was alleged that Badmus was arrested by the police after the late child’s nanny, who is in custody, reportedly claimed that it was the actress who distracted her from keeping watch on the boy before he strayed into the swimming pool and drowned.
However, the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, told reporters on Saturday, November 5, that the report contains no truth because the actress was never arrested.
