Abbas Ramoni, also known as Hushpuppi, who is allegedly involved in online fraud and is currently facing trial in the US for his actions, had his verified Instagram account disabled.
Recall that in June 2020, a joint team from the Dubai Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the United States arrested Hushpuppi in Dubai for allegedly defrauding a number of people, including American citizens.
After being extradited, Hushpuppi was accused of numerous offenses including hacking, impersonation, scamming, banking fraud, and identity theft.
The alleged online fraudster currently has over 2.8 million followers on his @hushpuppi account, 827 followers, and 540 posts showcasing his lavish lifestyle.
Instagram kept up his account despite his alleged crime.
The social networking site, however, appears to have reconsidered its choice to keep Hushpuppi’s account active.
Search results reveal that his account has been disabled as of Sunday, October 30, 2022.
