Delta State Government has revealed that the state government’s entire debt profile is approximately N272 billion.

Fidelis Tilije, the state Commissioner for Finance, announced this on Monday in Asaba.

According to the finance commissioner, the state is expecting a total reimbursement of N240 billion from the federation account as arrears of 13% oil derivation.

He also stated that the state government was only discounting a portion of the projected FAAC funds and would leave the remaining to the new administration.

Also, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s Chief Press Secretary, Olisa Ifeajika, denied that Delta State had received N50 billion from the Federal Government for the renovation of several federal highways in the state.
