While the Flamingoes kick off Nigeria’s campaign today against Germany at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022, former Super Falcons coach, Thomas Dennerby stated it would be a tremendous achievement if the hosts reached at least the knockout rounds of the global cadet championship.

Dennerby’s India has been put in a difficult Group A division alongside the United States, Morocco, and Brazil, but the hugely experienced Swede remains upbeat.

Dennerby, who left Nigeria to work in India after helping the Super Falcons reach the second round of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019, where Nigeria fell 3-0 to Germany, believes the hosts are skilled enough.
