Agbeyewa Farms has partnered with Grace for Impact Foundation, an international non-profit organization, to implement a medical outreach program across select communities in Ekiti State between Monday, October 31st and Sunday, November 6.
Over a six-day period, more than 80 healthcare professionals will provide medical screening and treatments for eye, dental, and cancer, as well as dispensing medications to residents of Ipao, Oke Ayedun, Odo Ayedun, Itapaji, Ikosun, Erinmope, and neighboring communities under the theme ‘Recovery 2022.’
The initiative, which began in Ipao-Ekiti, was attended by prominent dignitaries such as government functionaries, traditional rulers, and community leaders, it was learned.
Mrs. Dele Alade, Programme Coordinator, Grace for Impact Foundation, explained that while the outreach would cover all major aspects of health-care for everyone in the selected communities, there would be a special focus on creating awareness and conducting cancer checks for women.
Mr. Dapo Oriola, Agbeyewa Farms’ Director of Community Engagement, stated that community engagement was at the heart of the firm’s strategy to achieve shared prosperity for all stakeholders.
In his remarks, Prince Michael Ogungbemi, Chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area, lauded Agbeyewa Farms for the initiative, urging other corporate organizations in the state to emulate the model of responsible corporate citizenship that the firm has demonstrated, as it is unprecedented for a company that has only been in operation for a few months.
The council boss then urged residents of Ipao, Oke Ayedun, Odo Ayedun, Itapaji, Ikosun, Erinmope, and other nearby communities to participate in the medical outreach.
