EDUCATION: Kebbi To Set Teachers’ Retirement Age At 65.

Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Governor of Kebbi State, has stated that his administration has formed a committee to work out the details of raising the retirement age for teachers to 65 years.

Bagudu made the declaration on Monday in Birnin Kebbi, when he opened the Nigeria Labour Congress’s National Executive Committee meeting.

He stated that the state government would investigate the possibility of paying workers’ leave grants on or before October 31.

Bagudu acknowledged the strong mutual relationship between his administration and the state’s labor unions, adding that the state government also has strong support from the state’s civil service.
