According to the late Bimbo Ogbonna’s brother, his family tried everything to keep Bimbo away from IVD but she kept on going back to him.
Oyindamola, in response to comments on his Instagram page, stated that it all began when an 18-year-old Bimbo met Ikechukwu. He claimed she had given Ikechukwu all of her school fees and then dropped out. He went on to say that after several failed warnings to stop seeing each other, Bimbo’s family moved her to Abuja. However, IVD contacted her and threatened to commit suicide if she did not return. He claimed that Bimbo dashed to Lagos to be with him. Oyindamola went on to say that their family even offered IVD money to keep young Bimbo away from him at the time, but they continued their relationship.
He said he believes Bimbo and IVD had a blood covenant because she kept returning to him despite everything.
