Two people were killed at Tse Igbur in Benue State’s Logo Local Government Area.
According to Joseph Anawah, a resident, the incident occurred on Sunday, he further narrated that the two men were riding a motorcycle when they were shot dead by the suspects.
The killing comes only four days after gunmen attacked Gbeji in the state’s Ukum Local Government Area.
Salome Tor, the Chairman of Logo LGA, confirmed the incident, adding that killings had been going on in her domain since August.
The chairman stated that security personnel had been patrolling the area, but expressed regret that the suspected herders always hid in the bush to monitor movements.
Catherine Anene, a state police spokesperson, said she had yet to receive a report.
