The Federal High Court in Ibadan, Oyo State, has convicted and jailed three individuals for job fraud and cybercrime: Olukoya Adeyemi, Qoreeb Fujah, and Olayinka Olatunji.

Adeyemi was convicted and sentenced to two years in prison on modified two charges of employment fraud by Justice Uche Agomoh.

Wilson Uwujaren, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, revealed this in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the anti-graft agency, the prisoner defrauded his victims out of N2m under the guise of getting jobs for them with the Nigeria Customs Service.

Fujah and Olatunji were also charged, convicted, and sentenced for separate counts of Internet fraud.

Olatunji was convicted and sentenced to one year in prison by Justice Agomoh, while Fujah was sentenced to six months in prison.
