On Thursday, October 20th an Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun sentenced Peter Ogunbiyi, 18, to four months in prison for stealing N200,000 worth of coolers, window burglary-proof metals, and aluminum glass.
Ogunbiyi, whose address was not given, admitted to burglary and theft.
Magistrate A.O. Adeyemi sentenced him without the option of a fine in her ruling.
Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp E.O. Adaraloye, told the court that the convict committed the crime on October 14, around 4 a.m., at Oloko, Obasanjo area, Ota.
According to Adaraloye, the convict broke into Sarah Olayemi’s house and stole a window burglary-proof metal, aluminum window glass, and coolers worth N200,000.
He claimed that the offenses violated sections 390 (9) and 411(2) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
