A judgment delivered by Justice Abdulaaziz Anka in the suit filed by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu in the Federal High Court in Yola, states that neither Aishatu Ahmed (Binani) the current candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), or any other member of the party will contest for Adamawa Governorship in 2023 election.

The court acceded to the request of the Ribadu to declare Binani’s candidature invalid and unlawful.

Anka also held that the Adamawa APC governorship primary conducted on May 26, 2022 was not compliant with the 2022 Electoral Act, the nation’s constitution, and the party guidelines.
