Investment firm Blackstone has confirmed the death of one of its senior executives, Wesley LePatner, in a tragic shooting incident that occurred on Park Avenue.
In an official statement, the company expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing LePatner as “a beloved member of the Blackstone family” whose presence will be “sorely missed.”
“She was brilliant, passionate, warm, generous, and deeply respected within our firm and beyond. She embodied the best of Blackstone,” the statement read.
Blackstone extended heartfelt condolences to LePatner’s loved ones, saying, “Our prayers are with her husband, children, and family. We are also saddened by the loss of the other innocent victims as well, including brave security personnel and members of the N.Y.P.D.”
