Selena Gomez revealed that her bipolar disorder medication may prevent her from ever becoming pregnant.
In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Gomez explained how she has tried to “friend” her bipolar disorder, despite the effects it has on her dreams of becoming a mother one day.
Gomez recounted to Rolling Stone an occasion when she went to see a friend who was attempting to conceive.
She remembered crying in her car after their visit since she knows she won’t be able to carry her own children due to the two drugs she takes for her bipolar disorder.
She said: “That’s a very big, big, present thing in my life. However I’m meant to have them, I will”.
The 30-year-old singer and actress was first diagnosed with the disorder in 2018.
