Arsenal are still in negotiations with Valencia over the signing of central defender Cristhian Mosquera.

The Gunners saw a £13 million offer rejected last month, with Valencia holding out for a fee closer to £25 million. However, there is cautious optimism that both clubs can reach a compromise.

Mosquera, who has entered the final year of his contract, has reportedly rejected extension offers from the Spanish club, signalling his desire to move to North London. Personal terms with the player are not expected to pose a problem.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are putting the final touches on a deal for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, with an official announcement anticipated shortly.

In addition, the club made significant progress on Sunday in their bid to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres. A fixed fee of £55 million has been agreed, with negotiations ongoing regarding performance-related add-ons.

Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, who is believed to be open to a potential switch to the Emirates.

The Gunners have already completed the signings of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, midfielder Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard this summer as they continue to bolster their squad ahead of the new campaign.
