On Sunday, October 2nd, APC spokesman Festus Keyamo made a false post claiming that a rally that never took place in Kogi had taken place.

“We showed them how to march properly today in just one town in Kogi; no borrowed crowd; everyone here has a PVC (go and verify),” he says. This is being organized by proper structures,’ not ‘keypad activists!’ We’ll gradually separate the boys from the men!”

People on Twitter took to their keyboards in response to the post and debunked the video’s authenticity.

Without questioning the veracity of the video, well-known Twitter troll Daniel Regha replied, “Festus, the fact that you can’t campaign for Tinubu without mentioning Peter Obi shows u are scared; u mention the Labour Party & other presidential candidates more than u advertise Tinubu. You are undoubtedly working hard for your money, but I hope you are prepared for the consequences.

While other users tweeted to let Daniel know where the video came from and to expose the lies Festus told, T’challa tweeted, “You’re obviously scared, from posting an old video to using false captions to saying they’re all made of PVC, have some shame this boy.” Aren’t you ashamed that the individuals for whom you are sacrificing your reputation (if you have any) do not even think highly of you? Do some reflection, dude. Cheers”

Joey, a different user, stated: “It is not unexpected. Lies and false information were used by APC to win the election. It makes sense that their government is the most opaque in our history. However, this is not 2015.”

At the end of the day, all Twitter users concurred that Peter obi was a more sincere and direct candidate for president.
