Mr. Chris Finebone, the immediate past spokesman for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, is one of the 18 Commissioner-nominees whose names have been submitted for screening to the State House of Assembly.
Finebone, an ally of Rotimi Amaechi, Minister of Transportation and former Governor of Rivers State, was a harsh critic of Governor Wike’s administration style before defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
He was later quoted as saying, “Governor Wike is constantly misunderstood.” When you get close to him, you realize he’s a man with a big heart.”
He was named as a commissioner nominee in a memo signed by Stanford Oba, Clerk of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
The memo further asked the nominees are to submit 35 sets of their credentials to the office of the clerk and come along with original copies including tax clearance certificate for the screening.
