Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his Delta State counterpart, Ifeanyi Okowa, are scheduled to attend the 9th annual dinner of the Government College Ughelli Old Boys Association (GCUOBA) on Saturday in Lagos.
King Ebitimi Emmanuel Banigo, Amanyanabo of Okpoama Kingdom in Bayelsa State, will preside over the meeting.
At a news conference, the association’s President, Charles Majoroh, an architect, said the event would feature a lecture titled: “The future of public schools”, to be delivered by the Director General of Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, Prof. Eghosa Osaghae, an old boy of the college.
Majoroh stated that the organization has committed resources to solve the college’s infrastructure deficiency. He stated that much work remained to be done, and that the event was an opportunity to generate cash and partner with the Delta State Government on the institution’s development and repositioning.
