A passenger train travelling from Abuja to Kaduna derailed on Tuesday morning, leaving several carriages overturned and triggering panic among commuters.
The incident occurred shortly after the train left Abuja around 11 a.m. Eyewitnesses reported chaotic scenes as passengers rushed to safety in fear and confusion.
The cause of the derailment has not yet been determined, and officials have not confirmed whether there were injuries or casualties.
Military personnel were deployed to the scene to secure the area and assist in evacuating stranded passengers. Emergency response teams are currently managing the situation, while authorities are expected to issue a formal statement.
