Chief Olusegun Runsewe, Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture, announced on Tuesday that 15 states Representatives have arrived in Lagos for the 35th National Festival for Arts and Culture.
According to Runsewe, the states are as follows: Rivers, Bayelsa, Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos, Benue, Abia, Kaduna, Niger, Ogun, Oyo, Nassarawa, Jigawa, Katsina, and Edo. More states, he claims, are on their way.
Sir Shina Peters, an outstanding pianist, will be on the bandstand to amuse onlookers and visitors, he said.
He stated that this was done to bring the attention of young people and aspiring musicians to the importance of focusing more on good musical material.
While setting up their items, several of the exhibitors told NAN that they planned to develop new business contacts and make brisk sales.
