Former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto South, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has called on Nigerians to work together to remove President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in 2027.
Tambuwal made the call on Friday during his return to Sokoto, where he was welcomed by supporters from Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states in what observers described as a political show of strength ahead of the next general elections.
The reception attracted party members, women’s groups, youth organisations, and loyalists who lined the streets with banners and solidarity songs, declaring their readiness to challenge the ruling party.
Addressing the crowd, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives criticised the APC-led Federal Government, accusing it of worsening economic hardship, insecurity, and political instability.
“In 2023, we warned Nigerians not to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, predicting that his leadership would push the country into what I called ‘Bola’s Garbage.’ Today, the hunger, hardship, and hopelessness across the country are proof of what we said,” he stated.
Tambuwal vowed that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its allies would mobilise nationwide to unseat the APC in 2027.
“We will not be intimidated or silenced. We will work to end the suffering of Nigerians,” he said.
