The governor of Ebonyi, David Umahi, claims that the Peoples Democratic Party has no structure in his state.
The governor defected from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in November 2020, citing “injustice” done to the south-east.
Before leaving the party, Umahi served as deputy governor and was elected governor twice on the party’s platform.
On Monday, the governor claimed on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily that the PDP is dead in Ebonyi.
According to Umahi, the major opposition party cannot be included in the state’s political reality.
The governor of Ebonyi stated that the delay in the start of the APC’s presidential campaign will not harm the party’s chances in the polls.
