Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign in Edo State on Saturday, the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Col David Imuse (rtd), has asserted that the state governor, Godwin Obaseki, plans to force Edo state civil servants to attend the rally.
However, in his reply, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, branded the APC as a party that has run out of ideas.
Imuse, in a statement issued through the APC’s Assistant Publicity Secretary, Ofure Osehobo, warned the governor against declaring Friday a work-free day to allow civil servants to travel to the rally scheduled for Benin City, the state capital, claiming that such action violates public service rules.
