On Tuesday, a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, declared all primary elections conducted by the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state invalid.
The court’s decision came in response to a lawsuit filed by some disgruntled APC members.
The cases were allegedly brought by APC members loyal to the Social Democratic Party’s state governorship candidate, Senator Magnus Abe.
According to the plaintiffs, several legitimate delegates were barred from participating in the state’s primary elections.
