Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, has said that those who question the ability of the five disgruntled governors of the Peoples Democratic Party, also known as the G5, do so at their peril.
Nyesome Wike of Rivers, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia, and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu make up the G5, also known as the Integrity Group.
Kwankwaso spoke at the inauguration of the Mgbuitanwo internal roads in Rivers State’s Emohua Local Government Area.
He stated that members of the Integrity Group, led by Wike, were good people who would continue to do the right thing and be judged by posterity for their actions.
Rivers State, like Kano and Lagos, he said, was critical to winning any election.
“Certainly, Lagos is not theirs,” Kwankwaso continued. One wonders where they will get enough votes to win the election.
“We’ve seen people struggle and probably regret going around to many leaders to beg them to intervene, either here or there.”
“Let me address those leaders. Respect yourself during this critical time. Do what is right.”
