Ms Olufunke Akindele, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, says the party would change market laws that are unpopular with the state’s businesses.
The famed Nollywood actress made the commitment on Thursday while campaigning in the Alimosho region of the state.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Lagos state PDP Governorship Candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor), and his running mate, Akindele, kicked off a three-day campaign for the Alimosho local government area of Lagos state on Wednesday, touring several wards.
While Adediran proceeded to meet with key community stakeholders and organisations in the region, Akindele was touring several markets in the same local government area to solicit support for the 2023 general elections.
Akindele, who requested traders’ support for all PDP candidates, stated that Adediran’s administration would not close any markets but would rather punish those who breaks the law.
