Northern leaders united under the banner of the Arewa Joint Committee (AJC), reiterated Tuesday that they have not backed any presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.
During a news conference yesterday, Tuesday 18th October, at the ACF office in Kaduna, Mallam Murtala Aliyu, the Forum’s Secretary General, claimed Arewa leaders “received five of the six candidates who had consented to engage in the (recent) historic interaction.” Alhaji Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso did honor the invite.
THIS took place after another group, the Arewa Forum of Conscience, distanced itself from a rumored support of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
