Babatunde Fashola, former Nasarawa State governor, Senator Tanko Al-Makura, former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, and Alhaji Kashim Iman are among those in charge of Directorates in the Tinubu/Shettima Independent Campaign Council (lCC).
The ICC was formed to supplement the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), which would primarily focus on grassroots mobilization.
Hilliard Eta, the former Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), also heads a Directorate, and Mr. Silas Agara, the former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, is the Council’s National Coordinator.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 28th, the Director Media and Publicity Committee of the ICC, Hilliard Eta, stated that a special purpose vehicle, the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Campaign Council, had been unveiled in Abuja.
“It would complement the newly inaugurated Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), and its focus would be the grassroots,” Eta said. His Excellency, Silas Agara, former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, serves as the ICC’s National Coordinator.
“The ICC would also seek to broaden the support base of APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu to the country’s hinterlands.”
“It would also conduct door-to-door, hamlet-to-hamlet campaigns/visits, voter sensitization, and outreach meetings, among other things.”
Eta went on to say that the ICC’s key Directorates include: Contact and Mobilisation, led by Fashola; Reconciliation and Integration, led by Ogbeh; Support Groups and NGOs, led by Al-Makura; Finance and Fundraising, led by Alhaji Kashim Iman, Director Media and Publicity Committee, led by him.
