The New Nigeria Peoples Party has announced the unseating of Prince Ademola Ayoade as the party’s South-West chairman.
Mr. Babatunde Oke, the Secretary of the party in the zone, revealed Ayoade’s expulsion in a communiqué made accessible to press in Ibadan on Thursday.
The party said that the chairman’s resignation was necessary because an internal dispute procedure set up to warn Ayoade had failed.
The decision was taken after a vote of no confidence was voted on him, according to a communiqué signed by all six South-West state chairmen and several party officials during a zonal conference in Ibadan.
The removal of Ayoade is followed by the appointment of the new chairman, Alhaji Olayiwola Musbau who is to lead the zone in acting capacity.
