Despite Governor Nyesom Wike’s restriction on rallies in public schools, the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State stated it was planning to campaign in all 23 local government areas of the state in compliance with the law.
Tonye Cole, the state APC governorship candidate, said in a statement on Sunday that the governor’s recent issuance of executive order 21 was intended to limit political space in the state.
Cole claimed in a statement signed by his campaign spokesman, Sogbeye Eli, that the 23 LGA chairmen have been asked to impose the strict order in their domains.
