Youths from the New Northern Initiative for Growth have advised the Arewa Consultative Forum not to endorse any presidential candidates for the North.
They were responding to the ACF’s claimed endorsement of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar as its only candidate.
Lawal Sahab, the Initiative’s National President, told media on Tuesday in Bauchi that backing Atiku on sentimental grounds would keep the region out of political circulation.
They alleged that the so-called northern leaders who backed the PDP nominee did so out of desperation to keep power.
He challenged the region’s so-called leaders to explain to Nigerians what Atiku has ever done for the region’s and its people’s well-being.
