2023 ELECTION: Peter Obi Visits Kano, Meets Emir, LP Stakeholders.

The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi and his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed Datti, arrived Kano state, Saturday, September 24, on a courtesy visit to the Emir of Kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero.

This is coming as part of the pre election familiarisation visits to eminent Nigerians ahead of the 2023 elections.

In a video making the rounds across social media, the Presidential favourite, upon alighting from his flight at the Mallam Aminu Kano International airport, in Kano State, received a cordial welcome from the party statesmen.

The welcome entourage consists of Labour Party, (LP), Kano State Gubernatorial Candidate Engr. Bashir Ishaq Bashir, Dr Yunusa Tanko, the Party’s State Chairman Mallam Raji amongst others.

At the palace, Peter Obi and his vice were welcomed by the Emir, HRH Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, during which he informed the Emir that he was in Kano state for a sympathy visit to commiserate with the ‘Royal Father’ for the twin tragedies that befell the state in recent weeks. He stated it was appropriate to make the Palace his first stop.

The former Anambra State Governor, further intimated the Emir of his desires to run for President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria adding that his exposure in various areas of governance, amongst several other potentials, makes him a viable candidate for the presidency.

The Emir of Kano, on his part, expressed delight at the visit and praised the Labour party presidential candidate for his eloquence, calmness, humility, respect for culture, and fear of God.
