Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta State PDP Governorship Candidate for the 2023 general elections, has led the ward to ward campaign to Oghara, home town of former Governor James Ibori, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the State, promising a better deal for all Deltans.
He campaigned for votes by promising a better deal if elected Governor in 2023. He also urged people to vote for Chief Ighoyota Amori for Senate, Hon Chris Onogba for House of Assembly to represent Ethiope West State Constituency, and Mrs. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu for House of Representatives, Ethiope Federal Constituency.
Oborevwori, who is also the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, stated that this is the first time a gubernatorial candidate in the state has embarked on Ward-to-Ward campaigning, noting that governorship campaigns have previously been limited to local government headquarters.
He pledge not to let the people down if they deliver the party in the 2023 general elections. Earlier in his remarks, Delta State PDP Chairman Chief Kingsley Esiso said that the All Progressives Congress, APC has made Nigerians impoverished and should be thrown out in the 2023 elections.
Chief Emmanuel Ighomena, a former Commissioner for Power and Energy and important leader in the region, also pledged that the people of Oghara would vote for all PDP candidates, adding that the people of Oghara had always voted for the party “five-over-five.”
