Mr. Charles Ugwuh, Imo State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stated yesterday during a stakeholders meeting in Owerri that former Governor Emeka Ihedioha has been inaugurated as chairman of the party’s Presidential Campaign Council in the state.

He stated that in accordance with the standards established by the Presidential Campaign Organization, Ihedioha was elected as the state’s Chairman of the Council, while former state Chairman Chief Charles Ezekwem was appointed as Director of Campaign.

According to him, the Presidential Campaign Management Committee contains 11 primary directorates, as well as campaign council organs and structures meant to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of campaigns.

He expressed pleasure with the structure of the state’s presidential campaign, describing Ihedioha and Ezekwem as “round pegs in round holes.”

He congratulated them and other campaign directors on their new positions, stressing that the work of the PDP winning a landslide victory in Imo in 2023 has already been completed.
