Dr. Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment, has been expelled from the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Anambra State chapter.

The chairman of the Anambra State APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, severed Ngige’s membership due to the minister’s unwillingness to back his party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 elections during an appearance on Channels Television on Friday.

Ejideke indicated that the party has nothing to do with what Ngige said on Channels Television, adding that what Ngige said was a personal perspective and that he never stated that he represented the party during the interview.

Asked of his preferred candidate between the APC’s Tinubu and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi during the interview session, Ngige had said he would make his choice at the ballot.
