Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State slammed the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state on Tuesday, saying the party’s political agenda and candidates were dead on arrival in the state.
In a statement issued by the PDP’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Akeem Olatunji, the governor labeled Oyo APC as “laughable” and “devoid of any atom of shame, empathy, and regret for the anguish, emotional and psychological damage given to the people of the state for eight interrupted years.”
The remark followed the APC’s state publicity secretary, Olawale Sadare, stating the opposition’s desperation to take over the state was fueled by a lack of access to state finances.
