The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reaffirmed Umar Iliya Damagum as its acting national chairman.
The decision was taken on Monday during the party’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.
Damagum has been serving in the role since March 2023, following the suspension of former chairman Iyorchia Ayu — a decision later upheld by the court. Prior to his elevation, he was the party’s deputy national chairman (North).
